Stick Figures

Field notes from an ADHD family, by the one without it.

The grown-up companion to The Most Interesting People I Know — the honest, funny, humbling version of the same story. A memoir about being the only one in the house whose brain matched the manual, and learning that made him the lucky one, not the normal one.

“A beautifully tender and accurate look at what it’s like to navigate a neurodivergent household. As a clinician, I love how this story validates the ADHD experience; as the author’s wife, I love how it captures the heart of our home.”

The Story

Why I write

I’m drawn to the people the world tends to overlook — the ones who don’t quite fit the template, who get told to slow down, quiet down, be a little less. My first books come from close to home: warm, honest stories about a family learning to see each other clearly.

But at the heart of everything I write is one idea — that the most interesting people in the room are usually the ones being asked to take up less space. There’s more coming, and not all of it in the same lane. Stick around.
